Miruna-Bianca Crișan is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, at the Doctoral School of Psychodiagnostics and Evidence-Based Psychological Interventions. Her doctoral research focuses on evaluating group interventions for children and adolescents with social anxiety, exploring the moderators of effectiveness and the overall efficacy of these interventions. She is also actively involved in a European Union-funded project titled “Enhancing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy by Neuroscience: Novel Approaches to Understand Treatment Response for Anxiety and Depressive Disorders in Adolescents”, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of Romania, which aims to improve cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety and depressive disorders in adolescents, using fMRI to assess treatment responses.

Miruna specializes in psychological assessments, counseling, and psychotherapy, with a particular emphasis on treating anxiety and depression in her current private practice. Her extensive clinical experience includes working in various healthcare settings, such as the Municipal Clinical Hospital of Cluj-Napoca, where she conducted evaluations for diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. Additionally, she participated in an international mHealth project, providing psychotherapy to pregnant women with nicotine addiction, applying motivational interviewing techniques as part of a research initiative funded by the National Institute of Health, USA.

Alongside her clinical work, Miruna serves as a teaching assistant at Babeș-Bolyai University, where she contributes to the education of undergraduate students in the field of psychodiagnostics. She is also involved in coordinating and participating in Erasmus+ projects that focus on mental health, sustainability, and climate action, providing young people with opportunities to engage with these important topics. Her work integrates evidence-based approaches, and she is dedicated to advancing mental health care while promoting sustainable practices and contributing to positive societal change.
