Ionuț-Stelian Florean is a lecturer and PhD at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. In this role, he teaches courses such as Quantitative Research Methods and Statistics (1st year, undergraduate, first semester), Psychological Assessment (2nd year, undergraduate, first semester), and Psychodiagnosis of Abilities and Intelligence (2nd year, undergraduate, second semester).

He earned his PhD in 2022 from the Doctoral School of Psychodiagnosis and Scientifically Validated Psychological Interventions, with a dissertation that focused on the effectiveness of online parental interventions in reducing behavioral problems in children and adolescents.

Currently, he is involved in numerous research projects aimed at exploring emotional and behavioral problems in children and adolescents, understanding the mechanisms that contribute to their development, and evaluating the effectiveness of various interventions for their prevention and reduction. His main research interest lies in assessing the effectiveness of online interventions and examining the impact of parental factors on the development of emotional and behavioral difficulties in children.

In his current research, he primarily uses network analysis—an innovative method that allows the exploration of the dynamics between symptoms. His goal is to clarify the mechanisms underlying the emergence of emotional and behavioral problems and to optimize psychological interventions targeted at children and adolescents.
